Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kilimanjaro
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you’ll be met by our driver whom will transfer you to the Illboru Safari Lodge just outside the town of Arusha. Spend the night at the lodge. BB
Day 2 : Lake Manyara Game Drive
Drive to Lake Manyara for lunch (approximately 2 1/2 hrs) and enjoy an afternoon game drive around Lake Manyara National Park. This park is famous for the bird life around the soda lake – flamingos in particular, and is home to unusual tree climbing lions and also known as the home of primates. In addition it also has a large elephant population. You will stay overnight at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge. BLD
Day 3: Serengeti Game Drive
Drive to Serengeti National Park and enjoy a picnic lunch on the way. After lunch we enjoy a late afternoon wildlife game drive. You will find the Serengeti to be endless rolling grasslands crisscrossed with shallow forested valleys, a virtual play home to millions of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles and the larger predators, making this one of the world’s most famous wildlife vistas. We will enjoy dinner and overnight at the private wilderness mobile luxury camp. BLD
Day 4: Serengeti Game Drive
Enjoy a full day game drive and lunch in the Serengeti National Park, with dinner and overnight at the private wilderness mobile luxury camp. BLD
Day 5: Serengeti Game Drive
Enjoy a second full day in the Serengeti National Park enjoying the beauty of the park and its restless creatures. We will enjoy dinner and overnight accommodations at the private wilderness mobile luxury camp. BLD
Day 6: Serengeti/ Oldupai Gorge / Ngorongoro
Drive to Ngorongoro for lunch (approx. 4hr) via Oldupai gorge, visiting a historic museum where what is believed to be the first human skull was discovered. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon with dinner and overnight accommodations at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge. BLD
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
We descend into Ngorongoro crater for a full day photography wildlife tour and picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater is a collapsed volcano with rich, fertile landscape and an incredible natural amphitheater teeming with all of the African big game. Dinner and overnight accommodations at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge. BLD
Day 9: Tarangire Game Drive
A full day game drive in Tarangire where we may see the rare fringe-eared Oryx. Lunch will be served on the game drive or back at camp depending on schedule. Dinner and overnight stay at the Tarangire Osupuko Lodge. BLD
Day 10: Depature Tarangire National Park/ Back to Arusha
After breakfast, drive out with game viewing on our return to Arusha (120 km, approximately 3 hours). Arrive for lunch while your day room is prepared at Ilboru Safari Lodge. Dinner before flight back home (Transport from Ilboru Safari Lodge to airport is included). BLD
