12 Days / 11 Nights Safari Beach Itinerary

Today we travel to Amboseli national park whose signature attraction is the sight of hundreds of big-tusked elephants set against the backdrop of Africa’s best views of Mount Kilimanjaro; Africa’s highest peak broods over the southern boundary of the park, and while the clouds cover can render the mountains massive bulk invisible for much of the day, you will be rewarded with stunning vistas when the weather clears, usually at down or dusk. Apart from the guaranteed elephant sightings, you will also see wildebeests and zebras, and you have a reasonable chance of spotting lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. The park is home to over 370 species of birds. Have a game drive en route to the lodge and arrive in time for lunch. Later in the evening enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park as you get to the spectacular wildlife as well as the African elephant. Dinner and overnight at Ol Tukai Lodge (FB)

Our day will be spent at the park with a morning and afternoon game drive as you get to see large herds of elephants and hippos bathing in the swamp grounds whose underground water source is the mountain. We can also visit the local Masai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture. All meals and overnight at the lodge.

Drive to Tsavo West National Park, arriving in time for lunch. After checking in and lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive in this vast park known for natural wonders like Shetani lava flow, Mzima springs and roaring rocks. Mzima springs is in the Tsavo west hidden gem and a must visit.

Have an early morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Drive to Tsavo East national park the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dusk-red elephant. rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, lesser kudu, gerenuk, and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species. The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling, and spraying each other the midnight blue waters of Galana River is the most evocative image in Africa along with the Yatta plateau, the longest lava flow in the world.

Check-in at the lodge and later have an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Saltlick safari lodge.

Leaving the wilds of Tsavo, head for the coastal haven of Mombasa, Baobab beach resort where you have the remainder of the day to explore the vibrant south coast town.
