Safari Itinerary

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on KQ 765 at 0550hrs, you will be met by our Company representative and transfer to Wilson Airport for your mid-morning flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve. On arrival at the airstrip you are met by your host and transfer to Ashnil Mara Tented Camp. You’re now in Masai country, where sedentary crop farming gives way to nomadic cattle herding. Red clad, spear-wielding Masai warriors tend their multi-colored herds among the wild animal of the Loita Plains, admirably unimpressed by the presence of large predators.

You will have your first game drive in this vast game reserve after lunch. Dinner and overnight at the luxury tented camp

Approx Flight Time: 1hr

Meal plan: (Lunch, Dinner)

Spend full day in Masai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. Morning and afternoon game drives ….. Where you have the best opportunity of spotting the “Big Five” Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and Elephant. Besides, this will be the peak of the annual wildebeest migration hence the park will be teaming with the migratory animals plus the predators. Indeed you have a good chance of seeing a river crossing, and can choose to spend at least one full day out in the park with picnic lunch boxes.

All meals and overnight at  Mara Sala’s Luxury Tented Camp/ Mara Toto Luxury Tented Camp/ Mara Plains Luxury Tented Camp

Meal Plan: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

We continue to explore this miraculous area on our morning and afternoon game drives. At the northern extremity of the unique Serengeti Ecosystem, blessed with a permanent water supply, the Masai Mara has a thriving, permanent population of plains game, augmented in the dry season by the migration of more than 3 million gnus and zebras from the vast, parched Serengeti plains. Of the hunter’s “Big Five” Elephants, Buffalos, Lions, and Leopards are quite common, while even the much rarer rhino might come out of the thicket for you. Hyenas are plentiful and the cheetahs, 60-miles-per-hour daytime hunters are often seen. This is one of the most Spectaculars sights in the world. At sunset we will visit a section of the Mara River where we hope to see many hippos.

Meal Plan: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Game viewing/Photography: Sunrise and sundown are the greatest moments for game viewing in these mystic plains, a time where the soft red hues of the sun will give you an added natural richness to your photographs with the clarity of the actual African Savannah. The vast, open grasslands of the Serengeti-Mara are home to over 3 million large mammals. These include over 1.4 million wildebeest, which migrate in an enormous, straggling herd each year between the southern parts of the Serengeti to the northern part and back again. With them move other herbivores such as gazelles and zebras, also looking for the best grass. Along the way they provide food for big predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs. Here we learn about and see firsthand the intricate web of dependency that binds the different species together. Each animal has adapted to its own niche and to the other animals that surrounds it. Here we see nature at its most subtle and, sometimes, most cruel as each animal struggles to survive and reproduce.
