Day 1: Nairobi
Upon arrival in Nairobi you will be met and transferred to your luxury hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure at your hotel, an oasis of serenity amidst one of Africa’s most vibrant cosmopolitan capital cities.
Day 2: Amboseli
This morning you set off for the Amboseli National Park. Enjoy game viewing en route to your safari lodge, arriving in time for lunch. Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, provides the perfect backdrop to your late afternoon game viewing drive in the sanctuary.
Day 3: Amboseli
Your morning starts with an exciting dawn game drive. The rest of the day is at leisure before your afternoon
game drive around the many lakes and springs fed by Kilimanjaro’s melting snow.
Day 4: Ol Pejeta
Depart early from Amboseli with a picnic lunch at a unique location outside Nairobi. Stop at The Equator for a photo opportunity before arriving at Ol Pejeta, one of the finest private wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya.
Day 5: Ol Pejeta
Today is jam-packed with exciting game viewing activities in the Ol Pejeta wildlife sanctuary with your guide. You will visit the chimpanzee sanctuary, the only one in Kenya, where abandoned and rescued animals are rehabilitated into the wild. You may also visit and get a photo with Morani, the resident rhino.
Day 6: Lake Elmenteita
Enjoy spectacular views as you drive over the equator and through the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at your luxury safari camp on the shores of Lake Elementaita, one of a series of Great Rift Valley lakes. After lunch you have the opportunity to join a late afternoon trek along the lake shore, escorted by your naturalist guide, returning to your camp before sunset.
Day 7: Lake Elmenteita
Depart this morning for the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park—the world famous flamingo sanctuary that is also home to numerous other aquatic bird species. Lake Nakuru is also a breeding sanctuary for the endangered black rhino and white rhino as well as the rare Rothschild giraffe. Enjoy leisurely bird and game viewing, including a walk along the lakeshore with your guide, before returning to camp for a late lunch. The rest of the day is free to explore.
Day 8: Masai Mara
After breakfast your journey continues with a drive along the Great Rift Valley floor, entering the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Enjoy game viewing en route to your safari lodge perched on the summit of the highest hill in the sanctuary, overlooking the Talek and Mara Rivers. Your afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the pool or spa before your late afternoon game in the Masai Mara.
Day 9 and 10: Masai Mara
Your next two days are filled with amazing game viewing in the famous Masai Mara. Lion, leopard and cheetah are found here in greater numbers and concentrations than anywhere else and you may be lucky to witness one of the big cats stalking its prey. Herds of giraffe and elephant create a magical silhouette against the treeless savannah while hippo and crocodile wallow in the Mara and Talek Rivers. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a special “dinner under the stars”, accompanied by a display of traditional Masai tribal dancing.
Day 11: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Participate in a final early morning game drive, culminating in a special “breakfast with the hippo” on the banks of the Talek River, before your transfer to the Mara airstrip for your journey to Nairobi and your onward flight.
