Begin your safari in Nairobi National Park, at Ole Sereni, the only hotel in the world that is bordered by a National Park. This is the ideal location to spend a night before beginning your Kenyan adventure. If the captivating views of the park aren’t enough, you might spot giraffe zebra, antelope and buffalo that often lounge near the waterhole in front of the property, beginning the game viewing from your room, the restaurant, bar and even the swimming pool. Enjoy a drink on the rooftop bar overlooking Nairobi’s skyline to end your first day in Kenya.

Day 2-3: Drive to Ole Pejeta Conservancy (3 hours)-Ol Pejeta Bush Camp
Wake up for an early breakfast before your driver picks you up and your journey to Ol Pejeta Conservancy begins. Travel with our driver-guide toward Ol Pejeta Conservancy, with beautiful scenery along the way. During the 3-hour drive you’ll pass the region of Nyeri and be greeted by stunning views of Mount Kenya. After arrival at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp you’ll have time for lunch and then settle into your new surroundings. Choose between relaxing in camp for a few hours or heading out on an afternoon game drive before making your way back to camp for a delicious dinner, and maybe a drink or two. Ol Pejeta is home to the Big 5, however, one of the main reasons people head here is for the cutting-edge conservation and large rhino population. During your second day at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp, choose to visit the endangered species enclosure, to head out on a game drive or to venture out on foot to explore the beauty of the conservancy. You can extend your time out in the bush by enjoying a packed lunch in the plains or you can head back to camp for a sit-down meal. If you choose to relax in the afternoon, try a night drive before returning to camp for a late dinner.

This intimate camp offers simple elegance complimented by an exceptional safari experience. The camp is located on the banks of Ewaso Nyiro River, so wildlife is never far. Activities include two daily game drives, and if you’re up for something more adventurous, heading out on a guided bush walk is always a great way to explore the reserve.
Elephant, monkey and impala are among the camp’s many regular wild visitors – and the region is known for its lion and leopard numbers, too. Samburu also has more unique wildlife such as the Gerenuk, the Reticulated giraffe, the Somali ostrich, the Grevy’s zebra and the Beisa oryx, which cannot be found in other areas of Kenya.

From there, you’ll catch a 1.5-hour flight to the Masai Mara. You will be greeted by a driver guide who will take you to your next stop in this itinerary; Alex Walker Serian. This is the first of Alex Walker’s camps, and it perfectly captures the essence of its name: meaning ‘peaceful, calm, serene’ in the Masai language. It is also the ideal place to spend the last few nights of your Kenyan safari. The intimate camp has just five spacious rooms that are set above the Mara River with views over the Oloololo Escarpment.
Located in the private Mara North Conservancy, you’ll feel as though you’re in your very own piece of Africa. You can enjoy daily game drives, however if you’re looking for something more engaging, head out into the bush on foot or spend a night sleeping beneath the stars in a fly camping experience.
